Terraville is a city builder that runs in your browser. Your cities stay in your browser and, if you connect it, in a Terraville folder in your own Google Drive. Terraville has no server, no accounts, no analytics and no cookies.

What Terraville does with your Google account

Connecting Google Drive asks Google for one permission: drive.file, “see, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app”. With it, Terraville reaches only the folder and files it made. It doesn't list or open anything else in your Drive, and it doesn't ask for your name, email address or contacts.

Terraville uses this access only to upload your cities as they save, list them, and download one when you open it on another device. The sign-in token Google gives your browser lasts about an hour and is kept in your browser so a reload doesn't sign you out. It's shared with the other junkdrawer.works projects on the same device, so signing in to one lets the others sync during that hour. It is never sent anywhere except to Google.

Terraville's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Your Drive data is used only to keep your own cities. It isn't transferred to anyone, used for advertising, or read by any person.
